The Little Black Dress (LBD) is a chic garment that not only flatters all body shapes but is perfect to wear year round. Fashion historians credit the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel. The staple item has evolved from its primitive years, taking on many silhouettes and styles. While many may opt for the more traditional A-line dresses, the LBD has many versions to accentuate any individual preference. I personally love this Box Pleat Blazer LBD* I purchased from Zara because of the front pearl buttons and pleats that give the dress a more vivacious appeal. It can be worn with opaque tights and a blazer or cardigan for a day at the office, or a nice pair of heels for a date night (when we’re safely able to do so).
