Personally, I feel most confident when I am at work, executing projects I’m passionate about, and wearing a work outfit I truly love. My personal style includes playing around with various colors, patterns, and monochromatic styles. I enjoy mixing luxury pieces with affordable garments because I truly feel that fashionable clothing does not have to ‘break the bank.’ While I love fashion in general, workwear holds a special place in my heart as I spend at least four or five days out of the week in workwear attire. As a result, I decided to primarily focus simplysacsha.com on workwear style (with a sprinkle of out of office looks) to assist other women in exploring their own personal 9-5 style.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK?
I currently live and work in Washington, DC. During the day, I work full-time as a senior professional in the housing and community development field. I have a Master’s of Science (MS) in Public Management and a Master’s of Community Planning (MCP) with a focus on housing and community development. Aside from my love of workwear, I am truly invested in working toward addressing housing disparities and community disinvestment issues.
WHY DID YOU START SIMPLY SACSHA?
Noticing there wasn’t a large space in the online community that focuses on expressive workwear style, I wanted to create this blog as a place where women can receive valuable workwear style advice and a word of encouragement in the process. I truly believe that workwear can be fashionable, glamorous, and most importantly, reflective of one’s own personal style. I want career women visiting my website to share my excitement for workwear and know that it doesn’t have to be bland or boring, but classy and chic.
